In general, Manoir Hovey offers two different time periods to enjoy your celebrations. For an early wedding or social function, we offer the hours of 11:00am to 4:00pm. Evening weddings or functions take place between 4:00pm and 11:00pm.
Food and Beverage
Manoir Hovey needs to be advised of your expected attendance five business days prior to your wedding or social function. If no guarantee is provided, you will be charged for the previously expected number of guests or the final number if it is greater.
For groups of 10 guests or more we do require that a set menu be selected consisting of one appetizer, one or two main courses and one dessert. All food and beverages are subject to applicable taxes and 15% gratuity.
Manoir Hovey will be the only supplier of all food and beverage items. Manoir Hovey offers an extensive wine list with over 700 selections, INCLUDING MANY PRIVATE IMPORTS.
In order to keep Manoir Hovey looking its very best for all our guests, we do not permit any decorating, with the exception of flower arrangements and candles, to be done in the function rooms, on the grounds or in the Main House. The hotel prohibits any items to be fastened to walls or floors with tape, tacks, pushpins, nails, etc.
Unless authorized in writing, no furniture, plants, carpeting may be rearranged throughout the Manor including the private function rooms.. Any damages of the above items will be the responsibility of the wedding party and may be charged to the Master Account unless otherwise settled.
With the exception of exclusive weddings, amplified music, DJ or bands will be subject to Manoir Hovey’s discretion. We do highly recommend jazz trios, quartets, harpists or pianists to enhance your function.
Interior and Exterior photographs are allowed with a contracted wedding event at the hotel. Outdoor and Indoor photograph options will be at the discretion of Manoir Hovey and must be approved prior to function date. No photos are permitted at the main entrance of the hotel or near the reception desk.
Manoir Hovey offers an inhouse floral service and can order and prepare your floral arrangements for your important day. Details concerning colours, variety of lowers and quantities are to be discussed with department in charge.
Additional Equipment or Rentals
Any equipment or rentals that Manoir Hovey is unable to provide, may be rented however must be confirmed with the sales or food and beverage department prior to the event. The payment of rental equipment will be the sole responsibility of the client. Should Manoir Hovey rent equipment at the request of the host there will be a 15% service charge added to the rental costs. We are most certainly available to suggest reliable suppliers who can assist you with your needs should you require assistance.
Manoir Hovey is pleased to offer overnight accommodations to guests attending your wedding. Room rates will fluctuate seasonally, so please consult your Event Coordinator contact to confirm a preferred rate for the dates surrounding your celebration.
Room reservations are handled by your Event Coordinator. We guarantee our guestrooms for a 4:00pm check-in and our check-out time is 12noon.
In the event that a guest must cancel their reservation, they must do so 14 days prior to their arrival date with no penalty. With a minimum of 48 hours notice, the room stay can be re-scheduled for another date within six months. For cancellations less than 48 hours prior to the date of arrival, the deposit will be forfeited.
Rooms reserved by the host, cancelled less than 14 days prior to the arrival and not resold, will be billed to the Master Account.
Upon booking we will prepare a written estimate of the value of your function on a best efforts basis. If you wish to confirm a wedding or rehearsal celebration at Manoir Hovey, we do require a deposit in the amount of 25% of the event estimate. The remaining amount of this estimate is then spread over 2 payments within the months leading up to the event date. The total of the written estimate is due four weeks prior to the function. All prepayment deposits will be credited to your master account. All final charges are to be invoiced. Balances owing for the event will be reconciled by our accounts receivable department within 5 to 10 business of your departure. The outstanding balance will be charged to your credit card or is payable by cheque fifteen days after your final invoice date.
