The Pennsylvania-based guide, in its yearly Romantic Hideaways edition which came out this February, heralded Hovey as one of 12 chosen hotels, and the only one in Canada. Authors David and Linda Glickstein wrote:

"For a romantic getaway (...) the top choices are luxury rooms in the inn building or for total privacy the Treetops Suites, (which are) extraordinary. (...) Dining at the inn is a highlight. (...) The level or service, knowledge and passion for their profession of both the waiters and sommeliers is remarkable".
